Formbrace Systems

Our systems add value in the delivery of engineered concrete structures.

Formbrace, one of Australia's leading formwork companies, was established in 1992 and has grown steadily and developed strong associations with many major developers and construction companies throughout Australia and the Middle East.

Formbrace has made a major investment in the very latest formwork systems; which are rated among the most efficient in terms of speed of erection, safety and environmental sustainability. Formbrace System is certified under AS3610 and its systems have been extensively tested by the University of Western Sydney for strength and serviceability and to ensure that the system is structurally adequate for any conditions it may be subjected to.

The products we offer have been developed by Formbrace engineers, who are always actively engaged in trying to improve the equipment and the methods of erection.

With its simplicity of erection, unskilled labour can be trained quickly to use the system and achieve fast rates of erection.

The systems we offer for 'Dry Hire' include:

  • KwikDeck prop and panel systems
  • K-Shor System, suited to high strutting and shoring, as well as featuring a fully integrated access scaffolding system

KwikDeck System

The system ensures that workers erecting the system, are working from the ground, therefore the risk of falling from height is eliminated. The system conforms totally with the Formwork Code of Practice in Australia.

The panels are systematically lifted and propped from below. The simple and safe procedure allows three trained workers to erect 10 square metres in no time.

The modular 'fast to erect' system provides a major edge in an era when skilled labour is scarce, reducing the skilled trade component of site staff to below 30%, keeping labour costs much lower for the total project.

K-Shor System

When used with the KwikDeck system, K-Shor system provides the bracing and stability for the KwikDeck panel system when heights exceed the single props capacity. This is due to its scaffolding characteristics where several vertical struts are erected on top of each other. The decks could be erected at 10 metres in height with no difficulties

Features of the Formbrace system include:UWS

  • Speed of erection
  • Modular system which provides a uniform panel pattern
  • Minimises the need for experienced labour as unskilled labour can be trained quickly
  • Lightweight formwork system is easy to transport, stack and maintain
  • Minimises and/or eliminates the need for site craneage to assist in intra site movement of the system
  • Compact and stackable, requiring less storage area
  • Improves site safety (WorkCover compliant)
  • Allows working from ground level when erecting the system, working from height not required.

Quality

With the Formbrace system, quality starts at the maintenance and storage facilities. Each component is checked for quality prior to the distribution to various sites. Fabquip has exceptionally large resources of the Formbrace System, enabling it to handle the supply on any sized project. Every component is checked for quality and safety before being despatched to the work site.

Design

The design team produces detailed formwork drawings, and documentation, for each project.  Should you require modifications to the system such as deeper beams and slabs, our engineers would be required to review your project requirements and provide a 'signed off' detail.
