Allied Mills - Picton, NSW

The project consisted of 4 structures, generally at 40 metres in height (31.3 for Product Building), comprising:

• Product Building (square) – perimeter 415 lin.m, concrete surface area of 13,000 m2
• Cleaning Building (square) – perimeter 353 lin.m, concrete surface area 14,120 m2
• 10 Silos – 8.36 O.D circular silos, 533 lin.m perimeter, concrete surface area
• 21,350 m2
• 8 Silos - 8.36 O.D circular silos, 398 li.m perimeter, concrete surface area 15,980 m2

Fabquip provided separate slipform equipment for the Production Building and the Cleaning Building as both buildings were on the critical path. As the silos were not on critical path we set up our equipment to complete the 10 silo structure before modifications were made to construct the 8 silo structure. The project commenced with our assembly of the Product Building in early November 2006 and was completed after stripping the slipform on the 8 silo structure in early June 2007.
